A custom Greenhoe Bach 42 bell section, straight neck pipe with Greenhoe mounts. The acid reacts with the metal oxide, dissolving the oxide into solution. Slide action is great and the horn has a unique brilliant sound. It retains tonal qualities of both styles of horn but maintains it's unique color and resonance. As with brass mutes, string instrument mutes (for violin, viola, cello and bass) make the instrument sound softer. It is especially effective in somber passages, and has a forbidding, almost threatening quality of tone.

This is a full-sized trombone, using the traditional slide positions, but it's much shorter in length. Overall the horn is in excellent condition with no dents, good slide tubes and light use. It has a 10" bell, .565" bore slide with dependent F and flat E .585" bore valves. In very good condition with an excellent slide and no signs of major damage. This is a nice playing Bach model LT6 made in the Bronx factory in New York during the "67" production period. While not the biggest, baddest, wettest brass library out there, Adventure Brass accomplishes what we initially set out to do; to create an instrument that is first and foremost, fun to play. I only took it out for one crazy session with several friends after that it went back in the closet in Providence where it stayed until the late 80s when my father died.

Based on the traditional German contra designs, it is in F/C/Eb/BBb but has extensions to make the Eb valve into a Db valve. Will be sonic cleaned before sale. $2900 REDUCED A nice professional workhorse, this is a Bach 42BOG which is a open wrap rotary valve with gold brass bell. Small bore trombones, often called jazz trombones, usually have a bore spanning between .480′′ to around .510′′ (or 12,2- 13mm), and the bell size is usually between 6,5′′-8′′ (165-203mm).
