For an even fuller sound, record the parts a third time and use this in the center of the mix, although this change suffers from the law of diminishing returns. Friction fit bell connector, old school inner slide tubes. Even now, I still have to edit various controllers, patch changes, and my playing to create realistic-sounding brass parts.

The slide should be to the right of the bell at a 90° angle. Wright has performed a variety of trombone concertos with the Orchestra, and in 2002 gave the world premiere performances of Kurt Schwertsik’s Trombone Concerto, a work written for him. But BWV 4 and BWV 64 appear to have the trombones colla parte with the voices; there are quite a few instances of this, I think (still very effective, ofcourse.) I'll do a bit more research on this matter later.

We now add a mouthpiece at one end, and at the other we replace a long section of cylindrical pipe with a flare and a bell, to obtain a bore much like that of a C trumpet. Together with the cornetto, they doubled voices almost as a norm to create the sound of a choral tutti. It's got a great warm sound with some sizzle, it really cuts.
