Bradbury is a very well known Science Fiction writer. A short story, “Reiver’s Lament” (1995), is also quite notable. The Garrett stories are to date the most successful and sustained effort to blend fantasy with the detective genre. Articles may focus on a specific image of the author’s choosing from the Digital Horizons library. His later short fiction, collected in Everything’s Eventual (2002), is similarly uneven, although “Riding the Bullet” is excellent.

Dexter’s rare short stories vary in quality, and “Thistledown” (1991) is her best at that length. The Christian symbolism is still central to the story but is better integrated into the plot and less intrusive. Le Guin, and perhaps most notably the Harry Potter series by J. Examples are The Nightmare Before Christmas, Coraline, and Corpse Bride. I had to, because she didn’t return from work until late in the evening.
