While continuing to work in fine art photography galleries producing exhibitions throughout the coast of California he completed a degree in photography at Sonoma State. It is surrounded by the four-acre Faye Sarkowsky Sculpture Garden featuring important sculpture works. By tracing how these images were interpreted and reproduced over time, the exhibition also demonstrates how perceptions of Indian culture shifted through the centuries, from the Enlightenment to the colonial period and Christian missionary movement, and into modernity.
